Antonio de la Cruz Modena of Romblon, Romblon has been appointed by
President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo as the next Philippine Ambassador
to Israel. The appointment has yet to be confirmed by the Senate before
he can start on this new assignment in January.
Tony is the oldest son of the late Mansueto and Socorro Modena who
were both teachers of Romblon Elementary School. He graduated from
Romblon High School in 1965 and was the editor-in-chief of the school
publication, The Marble, when he was a senior with RDL-CLEAR
founder Ishmael Fabicon as the adviser.
