Boys frolick in the waters off one of Romblon island's small piers, unmindful of their luck that their waters are still considered very clean than most parts of the country.

TRIVIA CORNER
Coconut Crabs
The islands of Romblon province are home to the world's largest terrestrial crab: the coconut crab known as "tatos" in Asi or "igod" in Romblomanon. The crab can unhusk a matured coconut fruit in a matter of minutes with its powerful claws. However, when tobacco smoke "gets into their eyes," they weaken and die.

TOURISM SPOTLIGHT
Romblon Harbor at Sunset
"Muy hermosa, pero muy triste" (So pretty, but so sad), Jose Rizal once said of the Romblon Harbor as he passed by this province on one of his journeys. Rizal may be glad to know that the case is no longer true - that while it is still very pretty, the harbor is now bursting with the hustle and bustle of life and activity as it plays an important role in the new economic development of the province. Romblon harbor is considered as one of the best natural harbors in the Philippines.
