Sanrokan Convention 2004 kicks off

Each year, RDL-CLEAR holds an annual main event billed as Sanrokan Convention. The purpose is not just to provide a venue for fellowship, fun and meeting of Romblomanons. It is also an occasion to evaluate projects done in the past and those to be undertaken in the future.

This year, excitement is in the air as Romblomanons in North America and Europe look forward to the holding of the Convention in Los Angeles.

Convention Chair Johmy F. Fajilan recently announced that the venue will be the Beverly Garland's Holiday Inn Universal Studios Hollywood, a 7.5-acre resort style complex at the heart of celebrity county Los Angeles. This "global" reunion, which will feature other activities, has been set to July 30-31 and August 1, 2004.

This early, the Los Angeles hosts are talking about preparing discussion sessions, mini-excursions, fellowship, a search for a new Romblon Global Ambassador of Goodwill and of course, the grand Saturday Night Party. Other activities are still on the planning stage.

The Convention organizers are now calling for interested participants to signify their attendance. Likewise, it is calling for volunteers to fill up various committees: finance, souvenir program, convention agenda, publicity/promotions, hospitality, seminar/workshop, general support, registration/reservation or Ambassador of Goodwill Search Committee. Area coordinators are also needed.

Please email Johmy Fajilan for your participation inquiries or committee membership.
