GOV. MADRONA INAUGURATES PROJECTS
Gov. Elenadro Jesus F. Madrona of Romblon attended the inauguration
and blessing ceremonies of some government projects in the island-municipality
of Banton, Romblon last October 1.
Inaugurated and
blessed were the concreted provincial road within barangay Mainit, the
newly renovated Day Care Building therein.
In the cutting
of ribbons which was attended by a crowd of barangay folk and officials,
procincial officials and employees, Gov. Madrona was assisted by Mayor
Jory Faderanga and Ex-Mayor Patrocinio F. Ferrera.
Among the provincial
officials present were Vice-Governor Peping Fonte and SP Members Juan
Montana, Andrew Fondevilla, Ronnie Fortu and Amado Martinez, Jr.
After the occasion,
Gov. Madrona and his party had a tour of government projects around
the island-municipality of Banton, Romblon. And thereafter, they left
at Benice, Bantono for the provincial capital town of Romblon, Romblon
on board the governor's yatch.

MCR RANKS SECOND
The Municipal Civil
Registrar of Banton, Romblon, Romblon ranked second on the evaluation
report of the National Statistics office, Manila for the province of
Romblon released recently.
Mrs. Marie Fababeir's
selection as an outstanding Municipal Civil Registrar was based on timeliness
for submission of reports, quality of monthly reports, implementation
of Civil Registry Information System (CRIS) and attendance to meetings
and seminars.
Meanwhile, the
Municipal Civil Registrar's Office of Banton, Romblon is now accepting
petitions for corrections of names due to clerical errors and change
of names.
