and other Organizations Receive Banton 2003 Citation

The
Romblon Discussion List - Cultural, Livelihood and Educational Assistance
for Romblon (RDL-CLEAR) together with other Bantoanon groups and organizations
were given recognition by the Executive Committee of the Banton 2003
Project and the Banton Municipal Tourism Council during the Banton
2003 Valentine Party on February 7, 2004 at the BF Resort Village
Clubhouse, Las Pinas City. RDL-CLEAR participated in the Banton 2003
Project by sponsoring the Cultural Games, a medical mission and a
tree-planting activity in the municipality last year. The games, cut
short by inclement weather then, will be re-staged in the 2004 edition
of the Sanrokan Festival.
The
certificate of recognition and some token gifts were awarded by Lyndon
F. Fadri, Banton 2003 Chairman; Chris Fiecas, Banton 2003 Executive
Committee Member and Hon. Jory Faderanga, Municipal Mayor and Chairman,
Municipal Tourism Council to Ismael Fabicon, Excetive Founding Director
of RDL-CLEAR and Engr. Evidente Feudo, a member of the RDL-CLEAR (Philippines).
The
other major awardees are Class 1990 which sponsored the Yuletide Basketball
Tourney represented by Rodil Fadri and Dirk Louie Fatallo, Class 1994
which spearheaded the 2003 Valentine Party, represented by Mary Anne
Fadri and Biniray 2003 which jointly sponsored the Christmas gift-giving
activity represented by Leony Fiecas and Isagani Fonte.
The
other organizations feted were BNHS Classes 1991, 1993, 1995-2002;
the basketball teams of Greenhorns, Jazzers, Uncle Mac, Cruisers,
San Isidro, Candelaria and Hot Spring; Team Trek Banton; Fonte-Chua
Clan and Romblon Foundation.
The
affair was co-sponsored by Greenhorns.
