TOURISM SPOTLIGHT
Romblon, the island town is also the capital of the province. It is what gave the province the reputation "marble country" for the island's huge and quality deposits. Like most islands of the province, Romblon boasts of beaches, waterfalls and caves. It also has historical landmarks like the kampanaryo or belltower of St. Joseph Cathedral. Constructed between 1640 and 1726, it is admired for its design and the fact that it still contains the old copper bell.
