Ancient Burial Caves
Tugbongan, Banton, Romblon
The caves of Nagoso (Romblon) and Guyangan (Banton) are relatively well-preserved examples of ancestral burial sites (pre-Spanish time). Centuries-old coffins made of hollowed logs and presence of ancient artworks were discovered in these caves, including the Banton ikat burial cloth recovered in the 1930s, now a centerpiece at the National Museum exhibit on ancient cloth.
