New IFI/PIC Bishop Fajutagana to be ordained
Rev. Fr. Ephraim Fajutagana of Odiongan, Romblon was recently elected by the Council of Bishop of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente/ Philippine Independent Church (IFI/PIC) last May. He will be consecrated as bishop on the 24th of July 2002, at the IFI-National Cathedral, Taft Avenue, Manila.

His consecration will coincide with the centennial celebration of the church (also known as Aglipayan Church) on August 2002. More

"Ugat-Faigao" Reunion 2002 in Las Vegas


Dr. Roty Fabella with wife Dr. Cecille will be reunion co host this year

Las Vegas, Nevada, USA is the venue for the 5th family reunion from all over the USA and Canada. The event is held every five years since its first reunion in 1983 in Chicago, Illinois and had rotated its venue between Chicago and Toronto. Previous attendees included one from as far as Norway and some from the Philippines. The members of the "Ugat Faigao" are all succeeding generations of Emmanuel Faigao from the island of Banton, Romblon that has settled in different parts of the Philippines, North America and Europe. The event, to be held on August, 2-4, 2002 will take place at the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino, along the famous Las Vegas Strip. Nevada and California families are co-hosting the event coordinated by Dr. Sotero Festin Fabella of Las Vegas. (Roty Fabella)

New Computer Science student

Alfred P. Navato, graduated from Lexington High School and has chosen to enter The Worcester Polytechnic Institute for computer science this coming fall. It is a small college in Worcester, the second largest city in Massachusetts. It is a small college but it has several branches in other cities and around the world. WPI is one of the leading institutes offering engineering and science degrees in the New England area.

Dr. Nemuel Fajutagana off to Austria on health seminar



RDL-CLEAR Philippines President Nemuel Fajutagana is in Austria to attend a one-week seminar on health education. The seminar called "Trends and Innovations in Health Professions Education: Building Comprehensive and Sustainable Reform" is held at the picturesque 18th century Schloss Leopoldskon seminar house in Salzburg, Austria from July 3-10, 2002.

Dr. Fajutagana is presently an associate professor at the National Teacher Training Center for the Health Professions of the University of the Philippines - Manila. As elected fellow, the seminar fee amounting to US$5,000 has been waived and the roundtrip ticket will be refunded. Dr. Fajutagana will join about 60 other participants from other countries.
