HON. LEMUEL F. CIPRIANO
Dear Mayor Cipriano:
I wish to inform you that the Romblon Discussion List-Cultural, Livelihood and Education for Romblon (RDL-CLEAR), a non-stock, non-profit organization of overseas Romblomanons, has allocated the amount of P10,800.00 as relief assistance for the victims of Typhoon Frank in Sibale, and has asked the Kusog Sibalenhon, Inc. (KSI), a non-stock, non-profit association of Sibalenhons in Lipa City to conduct the relief distribution on its behalf.
The beneficiaries of the said relief, per RDL-CLEAR guidelines, shall be identified from the list of the local DSWD office. After Typhoon Frank, I was provided a list of the victims and an assessment of the damage by your municipal planning and development coordinator, Ms. Mimi Ferriol. The KSI is using the said list to identify the beneficiaries of the RDL-CLEAR relief assistance.
On this note, I admire you for having a staff like Ms. Ferriol, as well as for having an SB member like the Hon. Diosdado Atillano. Ms. Ferriol and Mr. Atillano, if you didn't know, were quick on their feet to respond to my request for the assessment of the damage Typhoon Frank wrought upon the island. May they be blessed by children and grandchildren following their path of service to the people.
The relief distribution will be conducted by the KSI committee on social projects, to be headed by KSI president Chito Fabellon, on Sunday, September 28 in Brgy. Masadya. Following the RDL-CLEAR guidelines, the KSI will distribute rice to 51 families identified to have suffered total damages during the typhoon. As a gesture of our oneness with the Sibalenhons in a time of distress, the KSI has also allocated the amount of P3,000.00 as counterpart to the RDL-CLEAR relief assistance.
On our part and on behalf of RDL-CLEAR, we hope the relief assistance will, even in a small way, ease the pain of the beneficiaries over the calamity that struck them.
Nicon F. Fameronag
